Chaos, chaos, chaos. We have 7 tournaments over the next 6 weeks! It’s insane! 🙃
I went to Virginia Beach where I partnered up with John Cincola for men’s doubles. John and I have been good friends for years, and we train together on an almost daily basis, so it was fun to get a tournament together! We got a bye, won our first round, and then lost to Hunter Johnson and Dekel Bar. In mixed, Allyce Jones and I lost to Quang Duong and Kate Fahey. And singles Zane…he’s back!
From there, I spent a few days at home moving apartments, and I’m glad to report that Murray likes the new view!
We had PPA Las Vegas where Callie Smith and I partnered up for the very first time and had a couple of good wins before falling to JW Johnson and Jorja Johnson, the eventual champs! I let Travis down in men’s doubles. I played pretty horribly, and we lost in the first round. There wasn’t much time to dwell on it, because we rolled right into Major League Pickleball.
On Monday, we beat the Carolina Pickleball Club 3-1 and the Texas Ranchers 3-1. On Tuesday we fell 3-1 to a hot Squeeze team, but rebounded nicely beating the Columbus Sliders 3-1. We’re still holding on to #1 in the standings, which is huge for playoff seedings! You can check the full standings here.
