August was a relatively chill month (compared to most) with only two tournaments: MLP and the APP New Jersey Open. The New Jersey Open wasn’t my best performance, but I’ll have a chance to redeem myself with the APP Chicago Open and the APP Atlanta Open right around the corner!
A chill month gave Jenny and I the opportunity to explore Austin a bit!
Well, we came up just short of another MLP title, but overall the 2nd MLP of the year was a success. We went undefeated in pool play even after losing Parris Todd to a hamstring injury in our second match. We won our next two matches with alternates Rachel Rettger and Lacy Schneemann, and they crushed it. Parris made a comeback for the final match, but unfortunately we lost to the Ranchers. The next MLP is in Columbus, Ohio October 14-16, and Team BLQK is hungry!

Our clinics are divided by distinct skill levels (3.0, 3.5 & 4.0+), we limit our student to teacher ratio at 8:1, and every participant is given personal attention and distinct feedback from the pros.
The first Pickle and Social location is expected to open in Gwinnett, GA in the Spring/Summer of 2022! Pickle and Social will be a sweet hangout spot with pickleball, cornhole (us Wisconsinites know this as “bags”), drinks, music, lawn games, and more! A second location will open up in Alpharetta in Fall of 2023, and maybe more 🤫🤷🏽♂️….Stay tuned!
