Jenny and I took a week or so to recover from the wedding weekend, so I skipped the PPA North Carolina Cup. It was well worth it as wedding weekend took a lot out of us!
One way that we tried to recover was by a nice brunch! Austin people! Check out Yamas Greek Restaurant. I highly recommend it, and my friend Kostas is amazing! Just tell him that you play pickleball!
You may have seen it already, but Jenny and I added another member to our little family. No, it is not a child, but rather a fur baby! She’s a golden retriever puppy and we decided to name her Arlo after our wedding venue! Her hobbies, so far, include biting, peeing, and terrorizing her brother Murray!
I got to play my first pickleball tournament with a ring on! Jenny, myself, and a couple of friends road tripped from Austin to Houston for the PPA tournament. Parris Todd and I teamed up for the first time in awhile and made a decent run to the quarterfinals, narrowly losing to Dekel Bar and Tina Pisnik. On men’s day, Travis ‘The Rattlesnake’ Rettenmaier took down Daniel De La Rosa and Martin Emmrich before falling in 3 tight games to Christian Alshon and Tyler Loong.
Plenty of pickleball over these next couple of weeks! Next weekend is the LA Open and the following weekend is Red Rock!
