On my way to NYC, I stopped in Chicago for some ProXR meetings and events. Jenny doesn’t often get to come to tournaments, but she was able to make this one, which was amazing! While I was busy in Chicago, she got the chance to see Wicked on Broadway. The next day, Thomas and I were able to get Gary V on the Picklepod podcast from his office, and it was an unforgettable experience. Watch it here!
The MLP matches were incredible! We played in Central Park, finishing the weekend with a perfect 5-0 record, which launched us into 1st place in the standings.
After NYC, Jenny and I traveled back home just in time to move all of our crap! We’re staying in Austin, but moving to a new place. We got all of the stuff out of the old apartment and into the new apartment, then headed to Chicago for the wedding of two of our close college friends. It was nice to let loose a bit, and I may or may not have ripped my pants on the dance floor.

Right now I’m actually working on something a bit different: Recovery.
I’m a very type A personality, and I don’t sit still well. Given the crazy amount of tournaments and travel lately, rest time is at a premium.
In order to get the most out of my rest time, I’ve been employing a few new tools. First, I have been visiting my friend Guillermo for weekly guided stretching sessions. Guillermo offers virtual physical therapy to anybody that is interested. If you would like Pickleball specific physical therapy, reach out to me through the contact form of our website, I will get you connected!
On top of that, I’ve been using my Kineon Move + religiously to try and accelerate the recovery process in areas like my wrist and ankles. I did a full review on it on my YouTube channel. The move plus is part of my daily routine.
Finally, rather than filling every minute with it to do list item, I have been trying to prioritize doing nothing from time to time. For me, that means spending time re-watching Game of Thrones with my wife and my dogs! Murray loves the new couch!
We’ve got some new content brewing for YouTube, so be sure you subscribe.
In the meantime you can catch our latest Pros v 5.0s and instructional videos!

I managed to find a day to head to Chicago for a Chicago slice versus St. Louis shot exhibition match at Wrigley Field! They asked me to emcee the event with Kaitlyn Kerr! Luckily, she is very good at that because I most definitely am not! It was an incredible day and we got to take a tour of one of the most historic ballparks in major-league baseball history. Thousands of people saw Pickleball on their way into Wrigley field!
